CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH-SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE
A PUBLIC SERVICE EASEMENT -
A 10' SANITARY SEWER EASEMENT WITHIN
LOT 1, BLOCK 3 OF BENNETT AND
KAHNWEILER INDUSTRIAL'SUBDIVISION.
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco
as follows:
1. This Resolution of Intention is adopted pursuant to the Public
Service Easement Vacation Law, Section 50430, of the Government Code.
2. The public interest and convenience require, and it is the inten-
tion of this Council, to vacate and abandon the public service easement
described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto, subject to the exceptions and
reservations described in said exhibit, which easement is unnecessary for
present or prospective public use.
3. Reference is hereby made to the map entitled "Location Map,
Vacatinq and Abandoning Canal Street and a Sanitary Sewer Easement Located

within Lot 1, Block 3, Bennett ~nd Kahnweiler Industrial Subdivision,
South San Franc.isco, California," attached as Exhibit A and
on file in the office of the City Clerk for particulars as to said easement
to be vacated.
4. Notice is hereby given that Wednesday, the 18th day of
1977 , at 7:30 p.m., in the West Orange Avenue Library (in the room referred
to as the Auditorim), 840 West Orange Avenue, South San Francisco, California,

is hereby fixed as the time and place when and where all persons interested
in, or having objections to, the proposed vacation of the public service
easement as herein described may.appear before said Council and be heard.

- 5. Notice of the vacation of said public service easement shall be
posted conspicuously along the line of said easement or part thereof to
be vacated at least ten (10) days prior to the date set for hearing, and
said notice shall be posted not more than 300 feet apart, and not less
than three (3) of said notices shall be posted.
6. Notice .of the vacation of said public service easement shall be
published in the Enterprise-Journal, a newspaper of g'eneral circulation,
published in the City of South san Francisco, and said notice shall be
published at least two (2) successive weeks prior to the hearing.
7. A copy of this Resolution shall be submitted to the Planning Corn-
mission and City Planner of the City of South San Francisco for a report and
recommendation in accordance with Section 50435 of the Government Code and
Resolution 24-77 adopted by ~the City Council on February 23, 1977..
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly intro-
duced and adopted by the City..Council of. the City of South San Francisco
at a regular meeting held on the 20th day of April ,

Description of Sanitary Sewer Easement

All that certain real property situate in the City of South San
Francisco, Counts of San Mateo,. State of California, and more
particularly described as fol!ows:
The portion of a 10' sanitary sewer easement' within Lot 1,' BloCk 3
of the subdivision map entitled "Bennett and Kahnweiler Subdivision,
South San Francisco, San Mateo County, California;' dated August 1971,
recorded in San' Mateo County Official Records AUgust 23, 1972, in
Volume 77, pages 13 and 14, conveyed by Swift and Company, an
Illinois corporation, to the City of South San Francisco, August 11,
1954, and recorded August 19, 1954, in Book 2635 Official Records
of San Mateo County, page 721 (79663-~} for the purpose of con-
structing, loperating and maintaining a sewer system and covenants
and conditions related thereto.
