RESOLUTION NO. 51 -77
A RESOLUTION APPOINTING ENGINEER AND ATTORNEYS
GELLERT BOULEVARD EXTENSION PROJECT
ASSESSMENT DISTRICT
(Revised)
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco, California, that
WHEREAS, this Council has determined to undertake pro-
ceedings pursuant to appropriate assessment and assessment bond
acts for the acquisition and construction of public improvements
in said City;
WHEREAS, the public interest and general welfare will
be served by appointing and employing engineers and attorneys
for the preparation and conduct of said proceedings and work
in connection with said improvements;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, as follows:
1. That Theodore V. Tr°noff Civil Engineer & Surveyor,
Inc., Daly City, California, be, and he is hereby apPointed as
Engineer of Work and employed to do and perform all engineering
work necessary in and for said proceedings, including all prelim-
inary surveying and such traffic studies as are necessary to
determine the need for traffic signalization facilities on Gellert
Boulevard as such, preparation of plans, profiles, specifications,
estimate of.costs, assessment roll and assessment diagram,
setting grade stakes, supervision of work, inspection and cost
certificates; that compensation therefor be, and it is hereby
fixed at a reasonable fee for all of said engineering, said
fee to be approved by the City Council and assessed as an inci-
dental expense of said proceedings; and that Theodore V. Tronoff
of said Theodore V. Tronoff Civil Engineer & Surveyor, Inc., or
his authorized agent, be, and he is hereby designated to make and
sign any certificate or document required to be made or signed
by the Engineer of Work.
2. That the City Engineer be, and he is hereby directed
to examine and approve the engineering documents, and to accept
said work when done to his satisfaction; and that the cost thereof
Shall be assessed as an incidental expense of said proceedings.
3. That the law firm of Wilson, Jones, Morton & Lynch,
San Mateo, California, be, and they are hereby appointed and
employed to do and perform all legal services required in the
conduct of said proceedings, including the preparation of all
papers not required to be prepared by the Engineers (exclusive
of printing), examining and approving the engineering documents
as to legal sufficiency and advising the Engineers in the pre-
paration of their work, advising all City officials on all
matters relating thereto when called upon, assisting in the sale
of the bonds to be issued upon the unpaid assessments, and furnish-
ing their legal opinion on the validity of said proceedings and
bonds; and that their compensation be, and it is hereby fixed
at two and one-half percent (2-1/2%) of the total assessment,

together with reasonable fees for services in acquiring ease-
ments~or in eminent domain or other suits, to be assessed as
an incidental expense of said proceedings.
4. That the fees provided to be paid in Sections 1 and 3
hereof be paid from said assessments to be levied and bonds to
be issued, and not otherwise.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was
regularly introduced and adopted'by the City Council of the
City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held this 4~
