HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 90-1977RESOLUTION NO. 90-77 CITY COUNCIL, CITY' OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION ORDERING'THE VACATION OF A PORTION OF MISSION ROAD · , BE 1T RESOLVED by the City Council Of the City of Sou~h San Francisco, as fol lows- 1. The City Council on the 18th day of May , 1977 · adopted Resolution No. 65-77 , entitled "A Resolution of Intention to · Vacate A Portion of Mission Road which Resolution recited that the proceedings were undertaken pursuant to the Street Vacation Act of 1941 (Streets and Highways Code Section 8300, et.seq.) and which Resolution of Intention was duly published as required by law, and notices of hearing were duly posted in the time, manner and fom provided by law, all as appears from the affidavit of publication and the affidavit of posting on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City. 2. Wednesday , the 15th day.of June' , 19 77, at the hour of 7:30 p.m. in the West Orange Avenue Library (in the room referred to as the Auditorium), 840 West Orange Avenue, South San Francisco, California, was fixed in said Resolution of Intention as the time and place when and where any and all persons interested in, or having any objections to, said proposed vaCation, were to appear before said Council and be heard. 1. 3. No objections of any kind or character have been or were made or · filed against vacation. 4, The street which is described in said Resolution of Intention .and . more particu,larly described in Exhibit A attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein as if set'forth verbatim, is unnecessary for present or prospective street purposes and the interest, convenience and necessity require vacation and abandonment of said street and the Council does hereby order the vacation and abandonment of the 'street and highway easement so · described, reserving and exCepting therefrom the easements therein set forth. The Planning Commission of the City of South San Francisco on : the ~ 24th day of May , 19 77 , approved said street vacation. 5. The City Clerk shall cause a certified copy of this Resolution and order, attested under the seal of said'<City, to be recorded in the office of the County Recorder of the County of San Mateo. The street to be vacated is more particularly described as follows: All that certain real property situate in the City of South San Francisco, County of San Mateo, .State of California and more par- ticularly described as follows: Beginning at the northwesterly corner of the lands conveyed to Raymond Wong et al by Deed recorded June 11, 1975 in Book 6864, Official Records of San Mateo County, at Page 430 (Recorder's Serial No. 57780-AI), said point of beginning also being the intersection of the southeasterly line of Oak Avenue and the northeasterly line of Mission. Road (66 feet wide); thence from said point of beginning along the northeasterly line of Mission Road North 32° 38' 31" West 96.21 feet to northwesterly corner of that parcel of land conveyed to the San Mateo County Flood Control District by Quitclaim Deed recorded July 23, 1976 in Book 7195, Official Records of San Mateo County, at Page 527; thence crossing Mission Road in a northwesterly direction, North 62o 54' 14" West 130.97 feet to a point in the southwesterly line of Mission Road; thence along said southwesterly line South 32o 38' 31" East 234.19 feet;, thence leaving said southwesterly line of Mission Road on the arc of a curve to the right, tangent to a line which bears North 32o 33' 33" East, said curve having a radius of 50 feet and a central angle of 38o 42' 57", an arc distance of 33.15 feet to a'point in the centerline of Mission Road; thence along the centerline of Mission Road North 32o 38' 31" West 13.26 feet; thence North 87o 20' 05" East 32.06 feet; thence South 58o 28' 14" East 12.00 feet to a point in the northeasterly line of Mission Road; thence along said north- easterly line, North 32o 38' 31" West 35.18 feet to the point of beginning.
