HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 99-1977that' RESOLUTION NO. 99-77 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING,AND APPROVING AMENDMENT 1-77 TO THE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING, UNIT 6 - INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF FIREFIGHTERS OF AMERICA, LOCAL 1507, AFL-CIO, JULY 1, 1976 - JUNE 30, 1978. BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco 1. Amendment 1-77 to Unit 6 - International Association of Firefighters of America, Local 1507, AFL-CIO, Memorandum of Understanding. The Council on September 15, 1976, by Resolution 132-76, accepted and approved the Memorandum of Understanding for Unit 6, entitled "Memorandum of Understand- ing, Unit 6 - International Association of Firefighters of America, Local 1507, AFL-CIO, July 1, 1976 - June 30, .1978, Except for Surviving Pro- -visions." The Council hereby accepts and approves Amendment 1-77 to said Memorandum of Understanding, a copy of which amendment is attached hereto as Exhibit A. . · 2. City Clerk's Endorsement. The City Clerk be and he is hereby ,. authorized to endorse and initial the following on the face of page 2 of Amendment 1-77' "Time for establishment of new base salary deferred per Section 2.1, refer to Amendment 1-77 datedJ,,me 22, 1977 ." FIREFIGHTERS OF AMERICA, LOCAL 1507, AFL-CIO July 1, 1976 - June 30, 1978 Except for Surviving Provisions The City of South San .Francisco (hereinafter, City) and Unit .6 - International Association of Firefighters of America, Local 1507, AFL-CIO, acknowledge and affirm that they have met and conferred in good faith and in all respects fulfilled their obligations under law to meet and confer in good faith regarding this Amendment 1-77 to the Memorandum of Understand- ing, Unit 6- International Association of Firefighters of America, Local · 1507, AFL-CIO, July 1, 1976 - June 30, 1978, Except for Surviving Provisions. Representatives of the Ci-cy have' agreed to present this Memorandum to the City Council for approval and acceptance and representatives of Unit 6 have agreed to present this Memorandum to their membership for approval and accept- ance. In consideration of the aforegoing provisions and the covenants · and conditions hereinafter set forth, it is agreed as follows.- 1. Time for Establishment' of New Base Salary Deferred. Section 2.'1 of ·the Memorandum of Understanding, Unit 6 - International Association of Firefighters of America, Local 1507, AFL-CIO, July 1, 1976 - June 30, 1978, Except for Surviving Provisions, approved and accepted September 15, 1976, by Resolution 132-76,' provided for establishment of a new base salary on June 24, 1977, which time now must be deferred as set forth in Exhibit A attached hereto and made a part hereof. In addition to being an amendment to said Memorandum of Understanding, the provisions of Exhibit A shall be included in a resolution providing for payment of salaries pending estab- lishment of the new base salary. 'The City Clerk is authorized to endorse and i'nitial the following on the face of page 2 of said Memorandum of Under- standing: "Time for establishment of new base salary deferred per Section. 2.1; refer to Amendment 1-77 dated June 22, 1977 ." : IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have executed this amendment 1'-77 in the City-of South San.
