HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 103-1977 RESOLUTION NO. 103-77 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO,STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EMERGENCY WORK ON THE SHAW ROAD PUMP STATION FORCE MAIN WHEREAS, breaks in the pressure main known as the Shaw Road Pump Station Force Main occurred on April 22, 1975, March 1, 1977 and May 24, 1977 causing raw,untreated sewage to be discharged into water courses tributary to Colma Creek and San Francisco Bay; and WHEREAS, the California Regional Water Quality Control Board, San Francisco Bay Region, issued to the Cities of South San Francisco and San Bruno Cleanup and Abatement Order No. 77-010 regarding said defective sewer line; and WHEREAS, the Director of Public Services and the Consulting Engineers, Resources Engineering & Management, have recommended remedial exploratory work preparatory to the necessary corrective work; and WHEREAS, the public interests and necessity demand the immediate expenditure of public money to safeguard life, health and property from the consequences of said defective sewer line; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that the Director of Public Services be and he is hereby authorized to expend a sum not to exceed Fifteen thousand dollars ($15,000) to perform the exploratory work recommended by Consulting Engineers, Resources Engineering & Management. , Ilii il llliil Ifl~ I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a adjourned regular meeting held on the 18 day of July , 19 77 , by the following vote: AYES, COUNCILMEN Richard A.
