HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 130-1977 RESOLUTION NO. 130-77 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION ASSURING COOPERATION REGARDING THE FISHING PIERS CONSTRUC- TION PROGRAM (OYSTER POINT MARINA). WHEREAS, the Wildlife Conservation Board of the State of California has a program of constructing fishing piers on a cost-sharing basis with local government for the benefit of the public; and WHEREAS, a fishing pier in the City of South San Francisco, County of San Mateo, State of California, would benefit the people of the County and the State generally by the development of our natural resources; and WHEREAS, such a fishing pier has been proposed by the City of South San Francisco; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that said City Council go on record in favor of the develop- ing said fishing pier within the City of South San Francisco on a 50-50 cost- sharing basis with the State of California by and through the Wildlife Con- servation Board, with City's share of cost to be paid from the Marina Enterprise Fund, and that the City Council agrees, in the event of such development, that said City of South San Francisco will assume the maintenance and operation of said area and improvements to be paid from the Marina Enterprise Fund, and will provide a lease of the premises to the State for a 25-year period. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Wildlife Conservation Board of the State of California be advised that the City Council will cooperate fully in such a cooperative project for the City of South San Francisco, and that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to said Wildlife Conservation Board. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at an adjourned reqular meeting held on the 24th day of August 19 77 ~ by the following vote: AYES, COUNCILMEN Richard A.
