HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 137-1977WJML:RJH:KIJ:pn 8/10/77 RESOLUTION NO. 137 '-77 A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE A PORTION OF STONEGATE DRIVE IN STONEGATE RIDGE UNIT NO. 1 STONEGATE RIDGE UNIT NO. i ASSESSMENT DISTRICT SOUTH ACCESS ROAD (SUNSET AVENUE) RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, County of San Mateo, California, as .follows: 1. This CoUncil hereby elects to take proceedings to vacate a portion of stonegate Drive in Stonegate Ridge Unit No. 1 as described in Exhibit A hereto attached and made a part hereof, pursuant to the provisions of Division 9, Part 3, Chapter 2, of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California. 2. The public interest and convenience require, .and it is the intention of said Council to order the vaCation of a portion 'of said street as described in Exhibit A, hereto attached and made a part hereof. 3. That in the opinion of said Council no assessment is necessary for this proceeding, and the said street or portion thereof herein proposed to be vacated is not necessary for present or prospective public street purposes. 4. For further particulars as to the location of said por- tion proposed to be abandoned, reference is hereby made to that certain plat entitled "Street Vacation - A Portion of Stonegate Drive," which plat is on file in the office of the Clerk of the. City of South San Francisco. 5. Notice is hereby given that Wednesday, the 21st day of September, 1977, at 7:30 p.m., in the regular meeting place of said Council, West Orange Avenue Library (in the room referred to as the Auditorium), 840 West Orange Avenue, South San Francisco, California, are hereby fixed as the time and place when and where any and all persons interested in or having any objections to said proposed street vacation, may appear before said Council and show cause why said proposed street vacation should not be carried out in accordance with this Resolution of Intention. 6. The Clerk of said City shall cause this Resolution of Intention to be published in the manner prescribed by law for the. publishing of ordinances of said City. 7. The Superintendent of Streets or the Clerk of said City shall cause Notice of the Proposed Street Vacation to ~be conspi- cuously posted along the line of the portion of the street proposed to be vacated, at least ten (10) days before the date set for the hearing by this resolution. Such notices shall be posted not more than three hundred (300) feet apart, but at least three shall be posted on the portion proposed to be vacated. Such notices shall state the passage of this Resolution of Inten- tion and the time and place of the hearing. Legal Description City of South San Francisco to Stonegate Ridge Properties, Inc. - Street Vacation Beginning at a point on the southerly line of Stonegate Drive. as shown on that.certain map entitled "Stonegate Ridge Unit No. 1" recorded March 25, 1966 in Volume 64 of Maps at pages 36, 37 & 38, San Mateo County Records, said point being the easterly terminus of that certain course shown as "N73°15'32" W 15.4.0'" on said map and running, thence from said point of beginning along said southerly line., being a tangent curve to the right, having a radius of 20.00 feet, through a central angle of 75°31'00'' · , an arc length of 26.36 feet to the inter- section with the southerly boundary line of said Stonegate Ridge No. 1;'thence along last said southerly line South 73° 15'32" East 57.27 feet to the intersection .With the southerly line of said Stonegate Drive; thence along last said southerly line, being a curve to the right whose center bears SoUth 58° 46'32" EaSt, having a radius of 20.00 feet, through a central angle of 75°31'00'' - ' ~ , an arc length of 26.36 feet, thence leaving said southerly line of Stonegate Drive North 73"15'32'' West 96.00 feet to the point of beginning. Containing 0.023 acres, more or less.
