HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 210-1977RESOLUTION NO. 22.0-77 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO TO ADOPT A SPECIFIC PLAN RELATED TO THE OPEN SPACE AND CONSER- VATION ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO AND RELATED OPEN SPACE (O-S) ZONE DISTRICT WHEREAS, the South San Francisco City Council, meeting in regular session on October 19, 1977, considered the Shoreline Development Study previously recommended by the Planning Commission; and WHEREAS, the City Council made the following findings' 1. That the consideration of a Specific Plan and related zoning will facilitate the proper development of the shoreline areas. 2. That a Specific Plan will facilitate the provision of the City of South San Francisco General Plan, Open Space and Conservation E1 ement. 3. That open space zoning of the area set forth within said Specific Plan No. I will facilitate the provisions of both the Shoreline Development Study and the City's General Plan, Open Space and Conservation E1 ement. 4. That said Specific Plan No. I and zoining is necessary to promote the Bay Conservation and Development Commission Bay Plan as approved by the City of South San Francisco. 5. That the provisions for public access to the shoreline of San Francisco Bay is found to be necessary and desirabl'e and in accordance with the legislative mandates of the State of California. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of South San Francisco hereby adopt the Shoreline Development Study Specific Plan No. I as a part of the General Plan of the City of South San Francisco, and shall additionally require the imposition of Open Space (O-S) Zoning on land as set forth therein, in accofdance with Section 6 of Ordinance 353, as amended. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was introduced and adopted by the, City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regularly scheduled meeting on Novenuber 16, 19 77 , by the following vote- AYES~ COUNCILMEN Richard A.
