A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CONTRACT AMENDMENT
NO, i TO AGREEMENT, CONSULTING ENGINEERING
SERVICES IN CONNECTION WITH A PROGRAM OF
WASTEWATER TREATMENT FACILITY UPGRADING,
SOLIDS MANAGEMENT AND SANITARY SEWER SYSTEM
EVALUATION SURVEYS, PROJECT C 06-123~ PROJ-
ECT C 06-1267.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, lead
agency for Projects C 06-1235 and C 06-1267, authorized the execution of
an Agreement, Consulting Engineering Services in Connection with a Program
of Wastewater Treatment Facility Upgrading, Solids Management and Sanitary
Sewer System Evaluation Surveys, Project C 06-1235, Project C 06-1267,
dated April 19, 1977 by Resolution No. 30-77 adopted March 23, 1977, and
WHEREAS, the North Bayside System Unit technical committee members
of the Cities-of South San Francisco, San Bruno, Millbrae and Burlingame
have reviewed and recommended Contract Amendment No. 1, a copy of which is
attached hereto as Exhibit A;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
South San Francisco that:
1. Execution of Contract Amendment No. 1. The City Council of the
City of South San Francisco, as lead agency for the projects above enumerated,
does hereby authorize the execution of Contract Amendment No. i to Agreement,
Consulting Engineering Services in Connection with a Program of Wastewater
Treatment Facility Upgrading, Solids Management and Sanitary Sewer System
Evaluation Surveys, Project C 06-1235, Project C 06-1267.
2. Authorized Signature. Frank J. Addiego, Director of Public Ser-
vices, is hereby authorized to execute Contract Amendment No. i to Agreement,
Consulting Engineerin§ Services in Connection with a Program of Wastewater
Treatment Facility Upgrading, Solids Management and Sanitary Sewer System
Evaluation Surveys, Project C 06-1235, Project C 06-1267, on behalf of the
City of South San Francisco and the participating agencies.
3, City Clerk's Endorsement. The City Clerk is authorized to endorse
on the face of the agreement executed as of April 19, 1977, herein more par-
ticularly described, the following: "Amended November 16 , 1977. See
Contract Amendment No. 1."
I hereby certify ~,;hat the foregoing Resolution was regularly intro-
duced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at
a regular meeting held on the 16th day of November ,

EXHIBIT A
TO RESOLUTION 'NO. 212-77 ADOPTED November 16, 1977

CONTRACT AMENDMENT NO. 1
TO
Consulting Engineering Services agreement in connection with
a program of Wastewater Treatment Facility Upgrading and Solids
Management Improvements Dated April 1977 .

For work identified as Item 3.6 under Phase II-B Special Services
of this agreement the Engineer will provide a draft outline of
the proposed Operations and Maintenance Manual for a. fixed amount
in the sum of Eight Thousand Dollars ($8,000) as set forth in
Exhibit I attached hereto. This amount shall be payable in
monthly progress payments based on the estimated percentage of
work completed.' This amendment will increase the total contract
amount for both Design Services and Special Services from
$373,500 to $381,500.
Work will begin immediately upon receiving your authorizatio~
to proceed with this effort and Will be completed in accordance
with the schedule shown on Exhibit II.
