A RESOLUTION OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO AUTHORIZING
A PRELIMINARY STUDY OF A REDEVELOPMENT SURVEY
AREA WITHIN THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO
WHEREAS, the Community Redevelopment Law of the State of
California (Sections 33,000 et. seq. of the Health and Safety Code)
provides authority for the designation and description by resolution
of survey areas (formerly redevelopment areas); and
WHEREAS, the Agency hereby finds and determines that the
general area known as the "U.S. Steel property" together with
adjacent properties requires study to determine if a redevelopment
survey area is feasible; and
WHEREAS, the Agency has further determined that it will be
necessary to employ redevelopment consultants in order to assist the
Agency's staff in the study as to the feasibility of the aforesaid
potential survey area.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Redevelopment Agency of
the City of South San Francisco as follows:
Section 1. The Agency hereby finds and determines that the
"U.S. Steel parcel" area and adjacent areas described aforesaid in
this resolution requires study to determine the feasibility of a
survey area.
Section 2. The Agency hereby finds and determines that it will
be necessary to employ redevelopment consultants in order to assist the
staff in the survey area study and that the Executive Director is hereby
authorized to employ redevelopment consultants for the initial study
as aforesaid for a total contract fee not to exceed $10,000.00.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Redevelopment
Agency of the City of South San Francisco on the 10thday of
October , 1984.
