CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXE-
ctfrlON OF AGREEMENT TO OBTAIN
GRANT FUNDING FOR THE INTEGRATED
CRIMINAL APPRB}{ENSION PROGRAM
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco
that:
WHE~, the City of South San Francisco desires to enter into an
agreement to undertake a certain project for an Integrated Criminal
Apprehension Program, to be funded in part from funds made available
pursuant to the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1973
(P.L. 93-83) administered by the Law Enforcement Assistance Administration,
U. S. Department of Justice (hereinafter referred to as "TJEAA"); and
WHE~, this City Council desires that C. Walter Birkelo, City Manager
of the City of South San Francisco, be authorized on behalf of this Council
to submit the attached Application for Grant for Law Enforcement Purposes
to LF~ and execute on behalf of this Council the attached Grant Award for
law enforcement purposes, including any extensions or amendments thereof;
and
WHEREAS, this Council has been presented with a form of such appli-
cation and agreement and said Council has examined and approved same as
to both form and content and desires to make said application and enter
into said agreement:
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the City
Manager, C. Walter Birkelo, be, and he hereby is, authorized and directed
to execute said agreement for and on behalf of the City of South San
Francisco.
IT IS FURTheR DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the City of South San
Francisco shall provide all matching funds required for said project
under the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1973 (P.L. 93-83)
and the rules and regulations of LEAA and that funds will be appropriated
as required thereby; PROVIDED THAT the grant funds received under the
provisions of this agreement shall not be used to supplant on-going law
enforcement expenditures.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced
and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a
regular meeting held on the 17th day of May
