HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 62-1978 RESOLUTION NO. 6£-78 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE PORTTON OF F~t~T GRANll AVFNUF RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, California, as follows: 1. This Resolution is adopted pursuant to the Street Vacation Act of 1941 (Streets and Highways Code Section 8300, et seq.). 2. Notice is hereby given that wednesday , the 2~t day of June , I~?~ at 7:30 p.m., which time is not less than fifteen (15) days from the date of passage of this Resolution, in the West Orange Avenue Library (in the room referred to as the Auditorium), 840 West Orange Avenue, South San Francisco, California, is hereby fixed as the time and place. when and where all persons interested in, or having objections to, the pro- posed vacation of a portion of East Grand Avenue as hereinafter described, may appear before said Council and be heard. 3. Not less than ten (10) days prior to the hearing date, a Copy of this Resolution shall be published once in the Enterprise-Journal, a news- paper of general circulation printed and published in said City in the man- ner prescribed by law for publishing ordinances in said City. 4. Notices of the vacation, stating the passage of the Resolution of Intention and the time and place of hearing shall be posted conspicuously along the line of the street, or part thereof, proposed to be vacated at · least ten (10) days before the date set for the hearing and not less than three (3) notices shall be posted. 5. The public interest and convenience require, and it is the inten- tion of this Council to vacate a portion of East Grand Avenue as shown on the map entitled "Location Map, Proposed Abandonment of a Portion of East Grand Avenue," attached hereto as Exhibit A, which is more particularly described in Exhibit B attached hereto. The public interest, convenience and necessity require the reserva- tion of an easement for anchor and guy wire purposes which is more particu- larly described in Exhibit B attached hereto, and by this reference incorpo- rated herein as if set forth verbatim and the vacation proceedings are taken subject to such reservation and exception. The City Council does hereby reserve and except from such proceedings the easement for anchor and guy wire purposes so described in Exhibit B. 6. A copy of this Resolution shall be submitted to the Planning Com- mission of the City of South San Francisco for a report and recommendation in accordance with the Government Code of the State of California. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly intro- duced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 17th day of ~a~ , 1978, by the following vote: AYES: Councilmen Ronald G.
