HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 67-1978 RESOLUTION NO. 67-75 A RESOLUTIONADOPTING.THE GENERAL PREVAILING RATE OF PER DIEMWAGES~'INSOUTH"SAN FRANCISCO that: RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco 1. This Resolution establishes the prevailing rate of per diem wages in aCcordance with Labor Code Section 1770, et .Seq. ,and applies to all further work performed under contract from and after the date of adoption, except that it is not applicable to work carried out'by the City of South San Francisco wi th its oWn forces. 2. The prevailing rate of per diem wages hereto attached, marked Exhibit "A" and made a part hereof, was determined by the Director of the Department of Industrial 'Relations in accordance with Labor Code Section 1773 and related Sections, and shall be the prevailing wage for each craft, classification, or tYPe of Workman employed on public works in the City of South San FranCisco, from and after adoption of this Resolu- tion, and the same is hereby adoPted and apProved as the general prevailing rate of per diem wages to be paid such crafts, classifications or type of workman. 3. Three (3) copies of the prevailing wage scale hereby adopted shall be kept on file in the office of the' City Clerk and made available to all interested persons on request. Copies shall be kept on file in the offices of the Director of Public ServiCes and Purchasi'ng Officer and be ', made available to any interested party on request. 4. Each call for bids, bid specifications and contract shall include a reference to the prevailing rate of per diem wages hereby adopted, or each call for bid, bid specifications and contract shall include a state- ment that copies of the prevailing rate of per diem wages are on file in the offices of the Clerk, Director of Public Services and Purchasing Officer and available to any interested party upon request. 5. City shall cause a copy of the prevailing rate of per diem wages as herein adopted to be posted at each public site in accordance ~with Labor Code Section 1773,2. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly intro- duced and adopted by-the City Council of the City of South ~n FranCisco at a regular meeting held on the 7th day of June , 1978, by the following vote.' PREMIUM PAY FOR SATURDAYS, SUNDAYS, AND HOLIDAYS- In accordance with Labor Code Section ]773, holidays upon which the general prevailing hourly wage rate for holiday work shall be paid shall be ali holidays recognized in the collective bargaining agreement applicable to the particular craft, classification, or ty~e of worker employed on the project which is on file with the Director of Industrial Relations. TRAVEL AND SUBSISTENCE PAYMENTS- The contractor shall make travel and subsistence payment to each worker needed to execute the work, as such travel and subsistence payments are defined in the applicable collective bargaining agreement filed with the Director of Industrial Relations in accordance with Labor Code Section 1773.8.
