CITY COUNCIL, CITY Of SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CONTRACT AMENDMENT
NO. 3 TO"AGREEMENT, CONSULTING ENGINEERING
SERVICES IN CONNECTION WITH A PROGRAM OF
WASTEWATER TREATMENT FACILITY UPGRADING,
SOLIDS MANAGEMENT AND SANITARY SEWER SYSTEM
EVALUATION SURVEYS, PROJECT. C 06-1235,
PROJECT C 06-1267"
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, lead
agency for Projects C 06-1235 and C 06-1267, authorized the execution
of "Agreement, Consulting Engineering services in Connection With a Pro-
gram of Wastewater Treatment Facility Upgrading, Solids Management and
Sanitary Sewer System Evaluation Surveys, Project C 06-1235, Project
C 06-1267" dated April 19, 1977, by Resolution No. 30-77 adopted March
23, 1977, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, as
lead agency, authorized execution of. Contract Amendment No.1 on the 16th
day of November, 1977,' and Contract Amendment No. 2 on the 4th day of
January, 1978, and
WHEREAS, the North Bayside System Unit Technical Committee members
of the Cities of South San Francisco, San Bruno, Millbrae and Burlingame
have reviewed and recommended Contract No. 3, a copy of which is attached
hereto as Exhibit "A"; and
WHEREAS, the additional costs therefor will be paid by.the Cities
of Burlingame and Millbrae;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of

1. ExecUti°n of contract Amendment NO. 3 The City Council of
the City of South San Francisco, .as lead agency for the projects above
enumerated, does hereby authorize the execution of Contract Amendment
No. 3 to "Agreement, Consulting Engineering' serVices in Connection with
a Program of wastewater Treatment Facility UPgrading, SOlids Management
and Sanitary Sewer SYstem Evaluation Surveys, Project C 06-1235, Project
C 06'1267", with additional costs therefOre l~o be Paid bythe Cities of
Burl i ngame and Mi 11 brae.
2. Authorized Signat'ure. Frank J Addiego, Director of Public
Services, is hereby authorized to execute Contract Amendment NO. 3 to
"Agreement, Consulting Engineering ServiCes in connection with a Program

on behalf of the Cities and the Participating agencies.
3. city-Clerk's EndOrsement. The City Clerk· is authorized to
endOrse on-the face of the Agreement execUted as of April 19, 1977, herein

CONTRACT AMENDMENT NO. 3
COnSulting Engineering Sergices Agreement made April 19,
1977 between the City of South San Francisco and RETA/NOLTE
Associates: ' '
Thi~ amendment concerns the work identified under Phase .
·
II-A: Design-Preparatio9 of Construction Drawings an4 .
Specifications of this Agreement for the Millbrae and Burlingame
Solids Management Program. The Engineer wilI provide services
to design a belt filter sludge dewatering facility, as set
forth 'in Exhibit 1 attached hereto. . .
For the work specified herein the fee shall be a sum of.
SeventyrNine Thousand, One Hundred and Six Dollars ($79,106.00).
The work shalI be accomplished in two phases. The'fee for
Phase I shall be a sum of Thirty-Two Thousand, One Hundred
and-Eighty Dollars ($32,180.0'0)"2' The'fee for Phase II shall
·
be a sum of Forty-Six Thousand, Nine Hundred and Twenty-Six
Dollars ($46,926.00). The Phase II work shall not commence
until separately authorized by the City.
This amendment will increase the total contract amount.
from $565,434 to $644,540. Work will begin upon recei, ving
authorization of notice to proceed with this effort and will
be completed within five months exclusive of City and State
review time between Phase I and II.
