CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING .APPRECIATION
TO REMI J. MUYLLAERT.
WHEREAS, Remi J. Muyllaert, a resident of South San Francisco for
twenty-four years,' has been generous in his contribution to the welfare of
this community, and
WHEREAS, his distinguished academic, business and civic career garnered
many honors, including selection by the faculty for Who's Who in American
Colleges and Universities, election to the Community Leaders of America,
Honorary Service Award from the Parent-Teachers ASsociation, Person of the
Year Award from the South San Francisco Young Men's Institute, inclusion in
the 1975 volume of the International Biographical Centre's Men of Achieve-
ment, and commendation for his valuable participation in the success of
the Guy F. Atkinson Company, one of South San Francisco's major engineering
firms, and
WHEREAS, his civic activities which contributed to the welfare of this
community include participation in the Police A'thletic League, South San
Francisco Chamber of Commerce, Elks Club, St. Vincent de Paul Society, Adult
Education Committee of South San Francisco High School, Vice President of
Boys' Club of South San Francisco and member of Board of Di.rectors, and for
approximately twenty-four years the Advisory Committee for Colma Creek, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of South San ·Francisco. desires to
· commend him-therefor and by this resolution permanently record in the offi-
cial records this expression of appreciation for his contributions to the
welfare of this community;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South
San Francisco that the Council does hereby commend Remi' J. Muyllaert for his
generous contribution to the welfare of this community and does by this reso-
lution express and permanently record in the official records this expression
of appreciation.

and .adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regu-
lar meeting held on the 15th day of June, 1978, by the following vote:
