HomeMy WebLinkAboutSuccessor Reso 07-2012RESOLUTION No. 07-2012 SUCCESSOR AGENCY TO THE FORMER REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY of SOUTH SAINT FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA IA. RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO SUCCESSOR AGENCY CONFLICT of INTEREST CODE WHEREAS., pursuant to the Political Reform Act (Article III of Chapter 7 of the Government Code, commencing with Section 1000), each government agency is required to adopt a Conflict of Interest Code(Government Code Section 87300 et se.); WHEREAS, pursuant to Govemment Code Section 87302, the Conflict of Interest Code shall provide for specific enumeration of the positions within the City, other than hose specified in Government Code Section 87200, which involve the making or participation in the making of decisions which may foreseeably have material effect on any financial interest and for each such enumerated position, the specific types of investments, business positions, interests in real property, and sources of income which are reportable; WHEREAS, the Fair Political Practices Commission "FPPC" has opined that a successor agency and oversight board should have the same code reviewing body, which should be the city council when the city serves as successor agency; WHEREAS, Assembly Bill 1484, enacted June 27, 2012, modified ABx1 26 to clarify that successor agencies are separate legal entities from the Sponsoring Jurisdiction; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of South San Francisco has adopted a resolution that acknowledges the existence of the successor agency to the South Saga Francisco Redevelopment Agency "Successor Agency" as an entity separate and distinct from the City. Nov THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the governing board of the Successor Agency to the South San Francisco Redevelopment Agency that it hereby approves the Conflict of Interest Code including designation of positions and the applicable disclosure categories for the positions shown in the attached Exhibit A.
