CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION ORDERING THE VACATION OF
A PORTION OF EAST GRAND AVENUE
. .
BE IT RESOLVED by.the City Council of the City of South San Francisco
as follows:
1. The City Council on the 17th day of May , 1978 ,
adopted Resolution No. 62-78 entitled "A Resolution of Intention to Vacate
Portion of East Grand Avenue, which Resolution recited that the proceed-
ings were undertaken pursuant to the Street. Vacation Act of 1941 (Streets
and Highways Code Section 8300, et.seq.) and which Resolution of Intention
was duly published as required by law, and notices of hearing were duly
posted in the time, manner and form provided by law, all as appears from
the affidavit of publication and the affidavit of posting on file in
the office of the City Clerk of said City.
2. Wednesday, the 21st day of June, 1978, at the hour of 7:30 p.m.
in the West Orange Avenue Library (in the room referred to as the Audi-
torium), 840 West Orange Avenue, South San Francisco, California, was
fixed in said Resolution of Intention as the time and place when and
where any and all persons interested in, or having any objections to,
said proposed vacation were to appear before said Council and be heard.
The hearing was duly continued and conducted on July 19, 1978, at said
time and place.
3. No objections of any kind or character have been-or were made
or filed against vacation.
4. The portion of East Grand Avenue which is. described in said
·
Resolution of Intention and in Exhibits A and B attached hereto and by
this reference incorporated herein as if set forth verbatim, is unnecessary
for present or prospective street purposes except for the easement for anchor
and guy wire purposes described therein, and the public, interest, convenience
and necessity require vacation of said street so described, and the Council
does hereby order the vacation and abandonment of the street and highways
easement so described.
5. The City Clerk shall cause a certified copy of this Resolution and
order, attested under the seal of said City, to be recorded in the office
of the County Recorder of the County of San Ma teo.
I hereby certify that the-foregoing Resolution was regularly intro-
duced and adopted'by the City Council of the City of SOuth San Francisco
at a regular meeting held on the 19th day Jf July
19718 , by the following vote:

That certain piece or parcel of land situate in the City of
South San Francisco, County of San Mateo, State of California,
being a portion of the parcel of land described as PARCEL THR~E
in Indenture. dated November 25, 1927 from.South San Francisco
Land and Improvement Company to South San Francisco Belt
Railway recorded April 28, 1928 in Volume 547 of Official
Records, page 400, records of.said San Mateo County, and/
being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the north terminus of the east line
of Haskins Way, distant North 241.11 feet, measured
'along said line, from its intersection with the
south line of Swift Avenue, as said intersection is
delineated upon that certain map entitled, "Bennett
and Kahnweiler Industrial Subdivision, South San
Francisco, San Mateo County, California", filed for
record August 25, 1972 and recorded in Book 77 of
Maps, pages 15 and 14, records of said San Mateo
County; thence from said Point of Beginning North
45°21'05'' East, parallel with the monument line of
Haskins Way, as said line is shown upon said map,
19.7.7 feet' to a point in the wsoutherly line of said
PARCEL THREE described in said Indenture; thence
continuing North 43°21'05".East, 3.52 feet; thence
South 62°14'42'' East,. 102.96 feet; thence south-
easterly along a curve to-the left, from a tangent
bearing South 61°30'00'' East, having a radius of
515.80 feet, through a central angle-of 7°24'55''
an arc length of 66.76 feet to a point of compound
curvature; thence easterly along a curve to the
left having a radius of 539.41 feet, through a
central angle of 18~46'04'' {tangent to said curve
at said point of compound curvature bears South
68°54'55'' East) an arc length of 176.69 feet to
an angle point in the southerly line of said PARCEL
THREE described in said Indenture; thence along the
southerly line said PARCEL THREE, as follows:

Maps at page 71, records of said San Mateo County;

BEGINNING of the hereinafter described easement;
