CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION~COMMENDING POLICE OFFICER RONALD BARRANTI
WHEREAS, police officers form "the thin blue line" to protect society
from criminal and other violent acts, and
WHEREAS, a police officer daily meets the usual law enforcement demands
and often risks personal safety to so protect society, and
WHEREAS, Police Officer Ronald Barranti, who has served the City of
South San Francisco since May 1967, and who is presently assigned to the
Patrol Division as a member of the Theft in Progress (TIP) Crime Prevention
Program on April 21, 1978, faced such a risk of personal safety to protect
society, suffering as a consequence serious gun shot wounds, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of South San Francisco desires to
commend Officer Barranti for his dedicated services in the face of such
great personal risk;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
South San Francisco that the Council does hereby commend Police Officer Ronald
Barranti therefor and extends to him and his family a desire for rapid recov-
ery and eventual return to duty as a police officer in the City of South San
Francisco and does order that this resolution be permanently recorded in the
official records of the City of South San Francisco.
