HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 11-1979RESOLUTION NO. 11-79 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING SCAVENGER RATES AND CHARGES FOR 1979. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, on February, 7, 1979, did conduct a public hearing after notice published on the lOth day of January, 1979, in the Enterprise Journal, a newspaper of general circulation published and circulated in the City of South San Francisco; and WHEREAS, the Council at said hearing considered'the presentation of "Scavenger's" financial analysis by City Staff, quality of service, presen- tation of interested parties, reasonableness of rates and charges, and items recommended by staff for inclusion in an agreement between the City' and "Scavenger" for "Scavenger" service as contained in the Staff Report dated February 7, 1979 which is On file in the office of the City Clerk; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, that: 1. Rates and Charges. The rates and charges for "Scavenger" service in the City of South San Francsico effective March 1, 1979, shall be as set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and by this reference made a part thereof. 2. Amendment of Contract or Franchise Terms.. Amendment of the existing contract or franchise between the City of South San Francisco, a municipal corporation, and the South San Francisco Scavenger Company, a co-partnership, now South San Francisco Scavenger Company, Inc., a California Corporation, 69 SOuth Linden Avenue, South San Francisco, California, providing for "Scavenger" services in the City of South San Francisco to include, but not be limited to, the following provision, is hereby authorized. 2.1 Franchise Fee. "Scavenger" shall pay City a franchise fee of two and one-half percent (2½%) of gro~s revenues. 3. Publication. The City Clerk shall publish this Resolution once within fifteen (15) days after adoption in the Enterprise Journal, a newspaper of general circula- tion published in the City of South San Francisco. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a re.qular meeting held on the 7th day of February 1979, by the following vote' AYES' NOES' ABSENT' Councilmen Ronald G.
