CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION COMMENDING
HUGO STOPPOLONI
WHEREAS, HUGO STOPPOLONI, Assistant'Director of Public Works, is
retiring as of May 1, 1979, after twenty-three (23) years as an employee
of the City of South San Francisco,during which period he served the City
· in the capacity of Public Works Foreman, Superintendent of Public Works,
Acting Director of Ecological Development and Assistant Director of Public
Works, and
WHEREAS, under Hugo Stoppoloni's direction, significant progress has
been made during his years of service in the public works maintenance
function and other activities of the City, particularly the efficient and
cost effective maintenance practices established for the street resurfacing
program and the maintenance and control' of flood channels in Colma Creek,
and
WHEREAS, Hugo Stoppoloni's response to the needs of the City and
its citizens in emergency situations, particularly those relating to floods,
during the years in which floods inundated parts of the City, reflected
the extent of his concern ,~for the City and its residents and his capacity
for meeting any situation his services were called for, and
WHEREAS, 'the City Council of the City of South San Francisco
desires on this occasion of his retirement to Commend him therefor,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
South San Francisco, that the City Council does hereby commend HUGO
STOPPOLONI, Assistant Director of Public Works, for his dedicated services

to the City of South San Francisco and does order this Resolution incor-
porated in the official records of the City as this Council's expression
thereof and its wishes for a long and happy retirement.
