CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF
AMENDMENT NO. I TO THE AGREEMENT WITH
GOODWIN B. STEINBERG ASSOCIATES (MUNICIPAL
SERVICES BUILDING)
WHEREAS, the City of South San Francisco and Goodwin B. Steinberg
Associates, a California corporation, on December 11, 1978, entered into an
agreement for architectural and support services for the project therein
generally described as °Remodeling of Value Giant for Police Department,
Communi. cations, Fire Administration, Parks and Recreation Department and Sen-
ior Citizens Center, Together with Remodeling of the Existing Police Building
for the Department of Public Services, Planning and Fire Prevention", and
WHEREAS, the parties now desire to amend said agreement to provide
for additional architectural and support services for the Value Giant Build-
ing (now referred to as the Municipal Services Building), as set forth in
Exhibit "A" attached hereto,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council that:
1. Execution. Execution of Amendment No. I to the agreement between
the City of South San Francisco and Goodwin B. Steinberg Associates, a copy
of which is set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto, is hereby authorized.
2. Authorized Signatures. The City Manager is authorized to execute
said Amendment No. I on behalf of the City, and the City Clerk is authorized
to attest his signature thereto.
3. City Clerk's Endorsement. The City Clerk is authorized to en-
dorse on the face of the agreement executed as of December 11, 1978, the
following: "Amended May 16, 197~ See Contract Amendment No. 1."

regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of
the City of South San Francisco at a regular

to make a thorough reconaissance of the existing facility and to
make 'three detai led "take-off"] cost estimates, one each during the'

Based upon current price and availability, information, the Contractor-
Estimator shall provide assistance in selection of materials and
construction methods. He shall participate in overal I budget.

The professional fees of $228,905 include payment for a 10% inflation
