CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION
OF EXTENSION AGREEMENT (COMMON GREENS
MAINTENANCE IN SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO)
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE City Council of the City of South San
Francisco that:
1. Execution:
Execution of the Extension of Agreement for Maintenance of
Certain Common Greens Located in the City of South San Francisco between
the City of South San Francisco and Green Valley Landscaping,Inc.,~a copy of
which is attached hereto as Exhibit "A", is hereby authorized.
2. Signatures.
The City Manager is authorized to execute Said Agreement on
behalf of the City and the City Clerk to attest his signature thereto.
3. Endorsement.
The City Clerk is authorized to endorse on the face of the
Agreement dated May 5, 1976, the following: "Agreement extended. See Exten-
sion Agreement dated the 20thday of June. , 1979, and Resolution No.
74-79 adopted the 20th day of June , 1979."
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly intro'
duced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco
at a regular meeting held on the 20th day of June , 1979,
by the following vote:

EXTENSION OF AGREEMENT' FOR
MAINTENANCE OF CERTAIN COMMON
GREENS LOCATED IN THE CITY OF
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO
THIS EXTENSION AGREEMENT is made and entered into as of this 20th
day of Juhe , 1979, between the CITY OF SOUTH.SAN FRANCISCO, a

municipal corporation (her.'einafter called "City"), and GREEN VALLEY LAND-
SCAPING, INC. (hereinafter called "Contraci~or"~
W I T N E S S E T-H:
WHEREAS, City and Contractor entered into ~n Agreement for the
maintenance of certain common greens located in.Sou'th San Francisco on the

5th day of May, 1976, f~ the period July 1, 1976, through June 30, 1979,
with an option in the City to extend the contract for period of one
year upon mutual agreement of both parties, and
WHEREAS, the parties desire to so extend said contract on the
terms and conditions he6einafter set forth;
~0~, THEREFORE', IN CONSIDERATION OF THE AFOREGOING PREMISES AND
THE' MUTUAL C.OVENANTS HEREINAFTER CONTAINED, IT IS AGREED AS FOLLOWS:
1. The Agreement for Maintenance of Certain Common Greens located
in South San Francisco entered into as of May 5, 1976, is hereby extended
for a period of one (1) year fr~m July 1, 1979, to and ihclUding June 30,
1980.

2. Level'of Services. City shall have the right to require up to
a fifty percent (50%) reduction in contract services within three (3)
· mo~ths from and after July 1, 1979, and to negotiate a new contract price
based on any such reduction in level of services.
· .
· 3. Prevailing Wage Determination. The parties accept the general
prevailing wage determination made by the Director of Industrial Relations
pursuant to California Labor Code Part 7, Chapter 1,.ArtiCle 2, Sections
1770, 1773 and 1773.1,-a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit
