HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 82-1979 RESOLUTION NO. 82-79 CIl~ COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE GENERAL PREVAIL- ING RATE OF PER DIEM WAGES IN SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that: 1. This Resolution establishes the prevailing rate of per diem wages in accordance with Labor Code Section 1770, et seq., and applies to all further work performed under contract from and after the date of adoption, except that it is not applicable to work carried out by the City of South San Francisco with its own forces. 2. The prevailing rate of per diem wages hereto attached, marked Exhibit "A" and made a part hereof, was determined bv the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations in accordance with Labor Code Section 1773 and related sections, and shall be the prevailing wage for each craft, classification, or type of workman employed on public works in the City of South San Francisco from and after adoption of this Resolution, and the same is hereby a~Opted and approved as the general prevailing rate of per diem wages to be paid such crafts, classifications or type of workman. 3. Three (3) copies of the prevailing waoe scale hereby adopted shall be kept on file in the office of the City Clerk and made available to all interested persons on request. Copies shall be kept on file in the.offices of the Director of Public Services and Purchasinq Officer and be made available to any interested party on request. 4. Each call for bid, bid specification and contract shall specify the general rate of per diem wages for each craft, classification or type of workman needed to execute the contract or each call for bid, bid specifica- tion and contract shall include a statement that copies of the prevailing rate of per diem wages are on file in the offices of the Clerk, Director of Public Services and Purchasing Officer and available to any interested party upon request. 5. City shall cause a copy of the prevailing rate of per diem wages as herein adopted to be posted at each public site in accordance with Labor Code ~ 1773.2. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly intro- duced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 18thday of July , 1979, by the following roll call vote: AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS Ronald G. PREMIUM PAY FOR SATURDAYS, SUNDAYS, AND HOLIDAYS: -- In accordance with Labor Code Section i773, holidays upon v~hich the general prevailing hourly wage rate for holiday work shall be paid shall be all holidays recognized in the collective bar- gaining agreement applicable to the particular craft, classifi- cation, or type ~f worker employed. ~n the project which is on file with the Director of Industrial Re.lations. TRAVEL AND SUBSISTENCE PAYMENTS' The contractor shall make travel and subsistence payment to each worker needed to execute the work, as such travel and subsistence payments are defined in the applicable collective bargaining agree- ment filed with the Director of Industrial Relations in accordance with Labor Code Section 1773.8.
