CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION COMMENDING JUDITH ROSATANO
AND LOUIS ERCOLI
WHEREAS, Judith Rosatano, an employee of the Leaning Tower Restaur-
ant, on July 15, 1979, observed Louise Allen, a patron of the Restaurant,
choking from food lodged in her throat, and
WHEREAS, Judith Rosatano immediately applied the Heimlach Maneuver
which she had learned from a television program on Channel 7, which success-
fully dislodged the food, and
WHEREAS, Louis Ercoli, part owner of the Leaning Tower Restaurant,
observed that Louise Allen was unconscious and not breathing after the
food had been so dislodged, and
WHEREAS, Louis Ercoli immediately applied mouth .to mouth resuscitation,
and
WHEREAS, the prompt,effective actions of Judith Rosatano and Louis
Ercoli thereby saved the life of LouiseAllen, and the CoUncil desires to
commend them therefor;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
South San Francisco that the members of this Council do commend Judith
Rosatano and Louis Ercoli for responding to an emergency situation promptly
and effectively, thereby saving the life of Louise Allen.
