CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION COMMENDING ROBERT MANTEGANI
·
WHEREAS, Robert Mantegani while vacationing in Sonora,
California, observed a man hiding in the rear seat of a young woman"s
vehicle, which he believed constituted a threat to her life and
safety, and ~·~
WHEREAS, he pursPed the vehicle in an attempt to warn the
young woman of possible dahger, during which time she was attacked by
the person secreted in the vehicle, and
WHEREAS, Robert Mantegani apprehended the assailant and held
him by force of arms until th~ sheriff could take him into custody,
after which said person was charged with kidnap and assault with a deadly
weapon, and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to commend him for his
concern for the welfare and safety of others and for involVing himself
without regard .for his personal safety;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of South San Francisco that the members of the Ci. ty Council do
hereby commend Robert Mantegani for his act of courage and concern
for the personal safety of others.

introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 20th day of
