NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City acknowledges environmental concerns in this area and will be sensitive to the survival of the Callippe Silverspot Butterfly and other species of insects, animals, and plant life in the development of plans for any residential, commercial or industrial development along the south slOpe of San Bruno Mountain; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of South San Francisco urgently requests the United States Department of the Interior, Fish and Wildlife Services to give full consideration to the needs of the local community in its final designation of critical habitat boundary lines; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council also requests the Department of the Interior to provide technical assistance to the agencies and parties responsible for any development on San Bruno Mountain so that effective mitigation can take place to adequately protect any endangered species while allowing for needed development in the area. -2- I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at an adjourned meeting held on the 23rd day of April, 1980, by the following vote: AYES' NOES: Councilmen Ronald G.
