A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE GENERAL PREVAIL-
I~IG RATE OF PER DIEM WAGES IN SOUTH SAN
FRANCISCO .'
RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South-San Francisco that-
·

1. This Resolution establishes the prevailing rate of per diem ~,lages
in accordance with. Labor Code Section 1770,'et seq., and applies to all --'
further work performed under contract from and after the date of adoption,
.
except that it is not applicable to work carried out by the City of South
San Francisco with its own forces.
2. The prevailing rate of per diem wages hereto attached, marked.,
.
Exhibit' "A" and made a part hereof, was determined by the Director of the
.Department of Indus'~r~'al Relations in accordance' ~.~ith Labor Code Section
1773 and related sections, and shall be the prevailing wa.qe for each Craft,
classification, or type-of workman employed on public ~.~orks in the City
of South San Francisco from and after adoption of this Resolution, and the
same is hereby' adopted, and approved as the general prevailing rate of per diem
wages to be paid such crafts, classifications or type of work'an.
$. Three (3) copies of the prevailing wage Scale hereby adopted shall
be kept on file in the office of the City Clerk and made available to all
interested persons on request. Copies shall be kept on file in the.offices of
the Director of Public Services and Purchasing Officer and be made available
to any interested party on request.
4. Each-call for bid, bid specification 'and contract shall specify
the general rate of per diem wages for each '6raft, classification or type
of workman needed to execute the contract or each call for bid~ bid speci'fica-
tion and contract shall include a statement that copies o-f the prevailing
rate of per diem wages are on file in the offices of the Clerk, D}reEtor of
Public Services and Purchasing Officer and available tO any interested party
upon request.'
5. City shall cause a copy of the prevailing, rate of per diem wa§e~
as herein adopted to be posted at each public site in accordance ~.;ith Labor
·

PER DIEM WAGE - CRAFT, CLASSIFICATION OR TYPE
OF WORKMAN NOT SPECIFIED-'
The rate for each craft, classl'fication or type of workman which is not~ herein
specified, shall not be less than the prevailing rate paid in such craft,
classification or type of work as provided in the collective bargaining agree-
ments established for San Mateo County and should there be no such agreement
for the particular craft, class~ficati'on or type of workman to be employed on
the project, then the prevailing wage rate shall be the prevailing rate paid in
such craft, classification or type of work as determined pursuant to Labor Code
Sect?on 1770, et seq.
PREMIUM PAY FOR SATURDAYS, SUNDAYS,. AND'HOLIDAYS:
In acCordance with Labor Code Section 1773, holidays upon which
the general prevailing hourly wage rate for holiday work shall
be paid shall be all holidays recognized in the collective bar-
gaining agreement applicable to the particular craft, classifi-
cation, or type of worker employed on the project which is on
fi'le with the D?rector of Industrial Relations.
TRAVEL AND SUBSISTENCE PAYMENTS:
The contractor shall make travel and subsistence payment to each
worker needed to execute the work, as such travel and subsistence
payments are defined in the applicable collective bargaining agree-
ment filed with the Director of Industrial Relations in accordance
with Labor Code Section 1773.8.
