NO. 78-1 RESOLVED by The City Council 'of The City of' South San Francisco tkat WHEREAS, sp~cifieaTions providing for purchase of certain supplies and/or equipment have been submitted, which specifica- tions are entitled: MUNICIPAL SERVICES BUILDING ~.;TERIORS - PROJECT NO. 78-1 and, WHEREAS, The City Council desires to approve said specifica- tions and call for sealed proposais~ NOW , THERE-~.0RE~-~-'IT IS HEREBY ORbERED THAT: 1. The specifications hereinbefore named and identified are hereby approved and said purchase Therein provided is hereby authorized, and said specifications are referred To and by this reference made a part hereof the same as if recited herein verba- Tim. 2. The City Clerk of said City is hereby directed to pub- lish a notice inviting sealed proposals or bids for said supplies and/or equipment in accordance with the specifications hereinbefore named and identified and on file in the office Of the City Clerk. Notice shall be published at least Twice not less Than five (5) days apart in The Enterprise-Journal, a newspaper of general cir- culation printed and published in the City of South San Francisco. The first-publication of The notice shall be at least ten (10) days before the date of the opening of the bids. A copy of said notice ~nTitled "Notice To Bidders" is attached hereto and refer- red to and by this reference made a part hereof as if set forth verbatim herein. Ail proposals or bids shall be accompanied by a cashier's or certified check: payable to the order of the City of South San Francisco, in an amount equal to not less Than ten per- cent (10%) of -the bid figure, or by a bond in said amount , drawn in favor of said City and executed by a corporate surety. Said check shall be forfeited by bidder, or said bond shall become payable to said City in case the lowest responsible bidder (or bidders) depositinE the same does not, within the time set forth in said specifica- tions, enter into a contract with said City, the faithful performance of which shall be guaranteed by an under-~ taking in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the sum 'bid said undertaking being that of a corporate surety s:ati~faetory to said City Council. In case of a forfeiture, as provided for in the preceding sentence, the defaulting bidder shall be liable to said City for any additional expense to which it may reasonably be put in connection with purchasing the supplies and equipment with which this Notice to Bidders is concerned. 3. Bids will be received by the City of South San Francisco, California, at the Office of the City Clem'R, of said City, City Hall, '400 Grand Avenue, South San Francisco, California. at or before the hour of 2'00 p.m. Thur~Asday , the 7th on ~. ;.r, - ...- =.day of 19 - · =::~,, ..... =:"- =: .. The bids will be publicly opened, examined and declared at said time and place and award will thereafter be made by the City Council of said City to the lowest responsible bidder or bidders, subject, however, to the right of said City Council to reject any and all bids which right is hereby reserved.
