CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING SCAVENGER RATES
AND CHARGES EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 1, 1980
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, on
September 3, 1980, did conduct a public hearing after notice published
on the 23rd day of August, 1980, in the Enterprise Journal, a newspaper
of general circulation published and circulated in the City of South San
Francisco; and
WHEREAS, the Council at said hearing considered the presentation of
"Scavenger's" financial analysis by City Staff, quality of service, presen-
tation of interested parties, and reasonableness of rates and charges, as
contained in the Staff Report dated September 3, 1980, which is on file in
the office of the City Clerk;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
South San Francisco, that:
1. Rates and Charges.
The rates and charges for "Scavenger" service in the City of
South San Francisco effective October 1, 1980, shall be as set forth in
Exhibit "A" attached hereto and by this reference made a part thereof.
2. Amendment of Contract or Franchise Terms.
Amendment of the existing contract or franchise between the City
of South San Francisco, a municipal corporation, and the South San
Francisco Scavenger Company, a co-partnership, now South 'San Francisco

Scavenger Company, Inc., a California Corporation, 69 South Linden
Avenue, South San Francisco, California, providing for "Scavenger"
services in the City of South San Francisco to include, but not
necessarily be limited to, the following provisi, on, is hereby
authori zed.
2.1 Franchise Fee.
"Scavenger" shall pay City a franchise fee of two and one-half
percent (2½%) of gross revenues.
3. Publication.
The City Clerk shall publish this Resolution once within fifteen [15)
days after adoption in the Enterprise Journals a newspaper of general circu-
lation published in the City of South San Francisco.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced
and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a
regular meeting held on the 3rd day of September ,
1980, by the following vote:
