HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 107-1980RESOLUTION NO. 107-80 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION COMMENDING VINCENT BIANCHINI, JR. WHEREAS, on the occasion of his retirement from the California Highway Patrol, this Council recalls the public service career of Vincent Bianchini, Jr., which also includes service during World War II in the United States Navy and services as a Police Officer in the City of South San Francisco from 1947 to 1957; and WHEREAS, his contribution to traffic safety was characterized by dili- gence in enforcement and concern for the safety of all users of the highways; and WHEREAS, in his pursuit of traffic safety, he further expressed his interest by participating and serving as Chairman of the Bay Area Traffic Execu- tive Council; and WHEREAS, his public service followed a family tradition established by his father in the South San Francisco Police Department; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that this Council does commend Vincent Bianchini, Jr. for his contributions to traffic safety and does on this occasion of his retirement permanently record this expression of appreciation in the official records of the City of South San Francisco.
