HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 115-1980RESOLUTION NO. 115-80 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO MODIFYING THE AWARD OF BID FOR POLICE DEPARTMENT AUTOMATED DATA PROCESSING EQUIPMENT AND RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 114-80 PASSED ON SEP]TEMBER 27, 1980 WHEREAS, the City Council did on August ll, 1980, by motion, award Automated Data Processing Equipment bid to IBM Corporation, Palo Alto, California, in the amount of $35,422.23, which bid was based upon'General Services Administration Governmental Pricing; and WHEREAS, it has been determined that General Services Administration Discount Pricing is not applicable to the equipment furnished in this bid; and WHEREAS, bidders were required in the specifications to specify annual maintenance costs for the furnished equipment; and WHEREAS, considering the GSA Discount elimination and evaluation of comparative maintenance costs, the bid of IBM appears to be the lowest most responsible bid submitted; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Resolution No. 114-80 is hereby rescinded, and the bid of IBM is hereby determined to be the lowest responsible bid, and the bid award of August 11, 1980 is hereby modified to a total of $37,286.56; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a contract with IBM Corporation in this amount. . e I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly intro- duced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a~i adjourned meeting held on the 29th day of September 1980, by the following vote: AYES: Councilmen Ronald G. Acosta, Mark N. Addiego and Gus Nicolopulos NOES: None ABSENT: Councilman Emanuele N. Damonte and Councilwoman Roberta Cerri Teglia 2~
