RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE
A PUBLIC SERVICE EASEMENT - AN EXIST-
ING SLOPE EASEMENT AND TWO 10' DRAINAGE
EASEMENTS SOUTHWEST OF CHESTNUT AVENUE
AND HILLSIDE BOULEVARD

BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco
as follows:
1. This Resolution of Intention is adopted pursuant to the Public
Service Easement Vacation Law, Section 50430, of the Government Code.
2. The public interest and convenience require, and it is the inten-
tion of this Council, to vacate and abandon the public service easement
described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto subject to the exceptions and
reservations described in said exhibit, which easement is unnecessary for
present or prospective public use. ~
3. Reference is hereby made to the map entitled "Hillside Estates,
%nuth San Francisco, San Maten Cnun~v, California"
on file in the office of the City Clerk for particulars as to said easement
to be vacated.
4. Notice is hereby given that Wednesday, the 18th day of February
19 81, at 7:30 p.m., in the West Orange Avenue Library (in the room referred
to as the Auditorium), 840 West Orange Avenue, South San Francisco, California,
is hereby fixed as the time and place when and where all persons interested
in, or having objections to, the proposed vacation of the public service
easement as herein described may appear before said Council and be heard.
5. Notice of the vacation of said public service easement shall be
posted conspicuously along the line of said easement or part thereof to
be vacated at least ten (10) days prior to the date set for hearing, and
said notice shall be posted not more than 300 feet apart, and not less
than three (3) of said notices shall be posted.
6. Notice of the vacation of said public service easement shall be
published in the Enterprise-Journal, a newspaper of general circulation,
published in the City of South San Francisco, and said notice shall be
published at least two (2) successive weeks prior to the hearing.
7. A copy of this Resolution shall be submitted to the Planning Com-
mission and City Planner of the City of South San Francisco for a report and
recommendation in accordance with Section 50435 of the Government Code and
Resolution 24-77 adopted by the City Council on February 23, 1977.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly intro-
duced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco
at a regular meeting held on the 7th day of January ,

Easement #1
EASEMENT l0 feet by 35 feet to construct, operate and maintain a drainage pipe, as
granted in the Deed from Forest Knolls Land Co. to the City of South San Francisco,
recorded May 14, 1962, Book 4207, Official Records, Page 6, as described as follows:
BEGINNING at a granite monument designated L-5 on Map of Survey made for P.E. Iler,
filed March 10, 1891 in Book "E" of Maps at Page 79 in the Office of the Recorder
of the County of San Mateo, State of California, running thence South 84o28'40''
East 75.825 feet; thence North 40°06'18'I East 68.565 feet; thence South 72°31'50''
East 116.877 feet; thence Southeasterly and Southwesterly on an arc of a curve
to the right, tangent to the preceding course with a radius of 30 feet, a central
angle of 88o04'50'', an arc of distance of 46.119 feet; thence South 15o33' West
tangent to the preceding curve 372.740 feet to the point of commencement of said
center line; thence North 74027' West 35 feet.
Easement #2
EASEMENT to construct and maintain slopes of excavations or deposits of excavation
material, along the Southeasterly boundary of the premises as granted in the Deed
from William Lagomarsino, et al., to the City of South San Francisco, recorded
March 29, 1960, Book 3771, Official Records, Page 245, upon the following described
parcel:
All that certain piece or parcel of real property situate in the County of San Mateo,
State of California, being a portion of that certain tract of land described in
Deed to Antonio Piccardo and Caterina Piccardo, his wife, recorded June 1, 1937,
in Volume 744 of Official Records at Page 271, San Mateo County Records (6914-D)
more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point Which is the most easterly corner of said tract of land, said
corner also being a point in the westerly line of Chestnut Avenue, as mentioned
in said Deed; said point being distant North 74027' West 30.00 feet from County
Engineer's Station C 15+17.30 P.O.T. of the center line of Chestnut Avenue as
established by survey made in 1951 for the improvement of the intersection of
Chestnut Avenue with Hillside Boulevard; thence along said westerly line of Chest-
nut Avenue, South 15033' West 232.70 feet to a point which is distant North 74027'
West 30.00 feet from County Engineer's Station C17+50.00 P.O.T. of last mentioned
center line survey; thence leaving said westerly line of Chestnut Avenue North
38054'40'' West 86.02 feet; thence North 15033' East 195.83 feet to a point in the
northeasterly line of said Piccardo tract; thence along last mentioned l~ne.~South
63°49'41'' East 71.22 feet to the point of beginning, containing an area of 0.344
acre, more or less.
