HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 17-1981RESOLUTION NO. 17-81 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION OPPOSING THE ELIMINATION OF HAMILTON AIR FORCE BASE 'FROM THE BAY PLAN WHEREAS, the San Francisco Bay Conservation and Development Commission is considering a proposal to change the Bay Plan to eliminate Hamilton Air Force Base from inclusion in such plan, and WHEREAS, the Ci~ of South San Francisco firmly believes that air-traffic requirements, particularly those related to general aviation in the Bay Area, will require the va~ing use of all existing airport facilities in the Bay Area, and WHEREAS, air-traffic facilities and impacts should be shared ~ residents of the entire Bay Area. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED ~ the Ci~ Council of the Ci~ of South San Francisco that the City of South San Francisco opposes the proposal to eliminate Hamilton Air Force Base from the San Francisco Bay Conservation and Development Commission's Bay Plan, and respectfUlly requests the San Francisco Bay Conservation and Development Commission to concur in this opposition.
