HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 48-1981RESOLUTION NO. 48-81 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION OF NECESSITY OF ACQUIRING BY EMINENT DOMAIN THE UNDEVELOPED PROPERTY LOCATED AT THE INTERSECTION OF CAMARITAS AVENUE AND ARROYO DRIVE WHEREAS, there exists certain undeveloped real property at the inter- section of Camaritas Avenue and Arroyo Drive in the City of South San Francisco, which property is more particularly described as: and Assessor's Parcel No. OlO-400-100; 0.27 Acres More or less on Southeasterly Line of Arroyo Drive, Commencing Southwesterly 454.30 Feet from Northerly Corner of Lot A, Block 12, Point of Lot A, Block 12, Rancho Buri Buri, Records of San Mateo County 25/28, 29, 30; WHEREAS, said real property is contiguous to the Municipal Services Building, 33 Arroyo Drive, South San Francisco; and WHEREAS, the location of said real property and its characteristics make it a desirable piece of property for use as a parking lot; and WHEREAS, there is insufficient parking currently existing for the Muni- cipal Services Building, and it is proposed that said real property described above is to be used to provide parking for users of said Municipal Services Build- ing; and WHEREAS, the City of South San Francisco is a municipal corporation organized and existing under the laws of the State of California and may acquire by eminent domain any property necessary to carry out any of its powers or functions, which power of eminent domain derives from Section 37350.5 of the Government Code; and WHEREAS, the City Council has conducted a proper hearing prior to the adoption of this resolution; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that it finds and determines each of the following: 1. The public interest and necessity require the proposed project. 2. The proposed project is planned and located in the manner that will be most compatible with the greatest public good and the least private injury. 3. The property described in this resolution is necessay for the proposed project. May 6 Approved by the Mayor , 1981.
