HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 49-1981 RESOLUTION NO. 49-81 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DEED OF EASEMENT FROM SOUTHERN PACIFIC COMPANY, A DELAWARE CORPORATION BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that it does hereby accept that certain Grant Deed, dated January 22, 1969, and executed by Southern Pacific Company, a Delaware Corporation, grantors of an area of land measuring 0.49 of an acre, more or less, more particularly described as follows' "A strip of land 50 feet in width situate in the City of South San Francisco, County of San Mateo, State of California, being a por- tion of that certain 50 foot wide strip of land described firstly in deed dated September 19, 1893, from South San Francisco Land and Improvement Company to Southern Pacific Railroad Company, recorded December 1, 1893, in Book 67 of Deeds at Page 21, Records of said County, lying equally 25 feet on each side of the follow- ing described center line' Beginning at the point of intersection of the southerly prolonga- tion of the westerly line of Orange Avenue with the original located central line of Southern Pacific Company's main track (South San Francisco Branch, formerly Baden Branch); thence westerly along said original located center line to a point in a line that is parallel with and distant 430 feet westerly, measured at right angles, from said southerly prolonqation. The side lines of the above described strip of land terminate in said parallel line and in said southerly prolongation. The above described strip of land contains a net area of 0.49 of an acre, more or less." BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby directed to cause said Deed and a certified copy of this Resolution to be recorded in the office of the County Recorder of San Mateo County. I certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 6th day of May , 1981, by the follow- i ng vote: AYES: Councilmen Ronald G.
