CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION ORDERING THE VACATION OF
PORTION OF SOUTHWOOD CENTER
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco,
as follows-
1. The City Council on the 1st day of April , 19.8..1 ·
adopted Resolution No. 41-81 , entitled "A Resolution of Intention to
Vacate Portion of Southwood Center
which Resolution reCited that the proceedings were undertaken pursuant to
the Street Vacation Act of 1941 (Streets and Highways Code Section 8300,

et.seq.) and which Resolution of Intention was duly published as required
by law, and notices of hearing were duly posted in the time, manner and fora
provided by law, all as appears from the affidavit of publication and the
affidavit of posting on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City.
2. Wednesday , the 6th day of May , 1981 , at the
hour of 7:30 p.m. in the West Orange Avenue Library (in the room referred
to as the Auditorium), 840 West Orange Avenue, South San Francisco, California,
was fixed in said Resolution of Intention as the time and place when and where
any and all persons interested in, or having any objections to, said proposed
vacation, were to appear before said Council and be heard.
3. No objections of any kind or character have been or were made or
filed against vacation.
4. The portion of Southwood Center which is described in said Reso-
lution of Intention and more particularly described in Exhibits A and B
attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein as if set forth
verbatim, is unnecessary for presentor prospective street purposes except
for the easement for construction, operation andmaintenance of public
utilities described in Exhibits B and C attached hereto, and the public
interest, convenience and necessity require vacation and abandonment of
said street and the Council does hereby order vacation and abandonment of
the street and highway easement so described.
The Planning Commission of the City of South San Francisco on the
9th day of April, 1981 approved said street vacation.
5. The City Clerk shall, upon completion to the satisfaction of the
City Engineer of the public improvements which are to be constructed in
accordance with the "Improvement Plan for Realignment of a Portion of the
Southwood Center, South San. Francisco," Drawing 81-22-D, dated February
1981, prepared by Randlett, Foulk & Stock, Inc., cause a certified copy
of this Resolution and order, attested under, the seal of said City, to be
recorded in the office of the County Recorder of the County of San Mateo.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regulary introduced
and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a
regular meeting held on the 6th day of May , 1981, by the following
vote:
AYES: Councilmen Ronald G. Acosta, Emanuele N. Damonte and Gus Nicolopulos

Vac~flon of a portion of Southwood Center Street right-of-way described as follows:
All that certain real property situated in the City of South San FranCisco, County of
San Mat°o, State of California, and more particularly described as follows:
A portion of "Southwood Centert' as shown on the map entitled "I~e-Subdivision,
Southwood Commercial Tract, South San Francisco, Calif. ", recorded in the San
Mateo County Record°tis Office on Sanuary Z, 1948 in Book Z8 of Maps at p/~ite Z9 -
described as follows:
BEGINNING at the Southwest corner of Lot 2 as shown on the above mentioned map,

a tangent at said point bearing' North 7' 35~ 34" West, thence northerly and westerly
87.24 feet along a curve to the left having a raflius of 435 feet and a central angle of
I l* Z9t 26" to a point of reverse curvature, a tangent at said point bearing North
19° 05~ West; thence northerly and easterly 19.74 feet' along a curve to the right
having a radius of Z0 feet and a central angl~ of 56* 33~, to the southeasterly, line of
West Orange Avenue; thence along the southeasterly line of West Orange Avenue
