HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 63-1981 RESOLUTION NO. 63-81 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION COMMENDING ELINOR FIGONI WHEREAS, faithful and capable employees enable municipal and other govern- mental agencies to serve the public well; and. WHEREAS, the City of South San Francisco, a municipal corporation, has been fortunate in having the faithful and capable services of Elinor Figoni for forty-one years and four months, during which period she served the City in the capacity of Assistant Librarian and Cataloguer, and upon the retirement of Dr. Robert Alvarez, as Acting Principal Librarian; and WHEREAS, Elinor Figoni has unselfishly given time, interest and effort to advance and better this community by spending many hours of volunteer time to create the All Souls' School Library, thereby establishing a high standard of civic conduct worthy of following by those who desire to contribute to the wel- fare of this community; and WHEREAS, her devotion to duty and the quality of her services have been of great benefit to the City and its residents, and because of this the City Council desires to commend her therefor; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of South San Francisco does hereby commend Elinor Figoni for her faithful and capable services to the City of South San Francisco and does order this Resolution incorporated in the official records of the City as this Council's expression of gratitude and its wishes, for her long and happy retirement. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced · and adopted by the City Council of the City of' South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 17th day of June , 1981, by the following vote' AYES' NOES' Councilmembers Ronald G.
