CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION COMMENDING ROBERT PENNINGTON
WHEREAS, faithful and capable employees enable municipal and other govern-
mental agencies to serve the public well; and
WHEREAS, the City of South San Francisco., a municipal corporation, has been
fortunate in having the faithful and capable services of Robert Pennington for
twenty-seven years and nine months, during which period he served the City in the
capacity of Firefighter and Acting Fire Captain on numerous occasions for extended
periods of time; and
WHEREAS, Robert Pennington has demonstrated an interest in civic activities
which contributed to the welfare of this community by being a charter member and
Secretary-Treasurer of the Widows and Orphans Association of the South San Francisco
Fire Department and an active member of various other civic organizations; and
WHEREAS, his devotion to duty and the quality of his services have been of
great benefit to the City and its residents, and because of this the City Council
desires to commend him therefor;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of South
San Francisco does hereby commend Robert Pennington for his faithful and capable
services to the City of South San Francisco and does order this Resolution incor-
porated in the official records of the City as this Council's expression of
gratitude and its wishes for his long and happy retirement.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced
and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular

meeting held on the 17th day of
