HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 74-1981RESOLUTI ON 74-.81 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE 1980-81 APPROPRIATION LIMIT FOR CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO PURSUANT TO ARTICLE XIII B OF THE CALIFORNIA CONSTITUTION WHEREAS, in November 1979, the State voters approved Proposition 4, the Gann Appropriation Limit Initiative, which states that beginning July 1, 1980, all state and local government budgets are limited to a formula based upon the 1978-79 budget, plus adjust- ments for cost of living and population changes, and specific excep- tions for service charges, federal and state grants, reserve funds, etc.; a nd WHEREAS, the State Legislature haS adopted SB1352 (Chapter 1205, Statutes of 1980)(Section 7900 et seq. of the Government Code), implementing Article XIIIB of the California Constitution, and WHEREAS, in accordance with the above, the City of South San Francisco has prepared documentation establishing our 1980-81 appropriation limit, and has made this documentation available to the public for more than fifteen (15) days; NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby resolved as follows' 1. For 1980-81, the City's appropriation limit is $ 25,367,878.. 2. The Adopted Budget for 1980-81 includes $ 15,899,155~ in appropriations whic'h are subject to limit, and estimates proceeds of taxes of $ 12,234,423. 3. For 1980-81, the City of South San Franci~sco is within the limits of Article XIIIB of the California Constitution I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at an adjourned meeting held this 7th day of July , 1981, by the following vote: AYES, COUNCILMEMBERS Ronald G.'Acosta, Emanuele N.
