CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION CANVASSING RETURNS AND
DECLARING RESULTS OF THE SPECIAL
MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD IN THE CITY
OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO ON OCTOBER 6,
1981
WHEREAS, a Special Municipal Election was held in and throughout
the City of South San Francisco on the 6th day of October, 1981 on the
South Slope Initiative Measure; and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk has performed an official canvass of the
returns of the votes cast at said election which is attached as Exhibit A
pursuant to Election Code Nos. 17081 through 17089 and 17190; and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk has duly presented to the City Council of
the City of South San Francisco all the returns of the votes cast at said
Special Municipal Election; and

WHEREAS, said City Council has inspected and examined all said
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of said City
that said Council finds as follows:
That six thousand nine hundred and seventy eight (6,978) votes
were cast in the City of South San Francisco;
That the results of said Special Municipal Election on the South
Slope Initiative Measure, as shown by the official count at each of the
several precincts established throughout said City by said City Council for
the purpose of conducting said Election is as shown on Exhibit "A" attached
hereto and the same being a tabulation of the votes by precincts, are as
fol 1 ows:

I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly
introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco at a special meeting held on the 13th day of October
1981, by the following vote:

I hereby certify that on October 9, 1981, I canvassed the returns of the
Special Municipal Election held October 6, 1981, in the City of South San
Francisco and that the total number of ballots cast in said city for the
South Slope Initiative Measure and against said Measure in each of the
respective precincts therein are true and correct. I further certify that
a manual count was made of one-third of the precincts (C1, C5, C7, ClO,
C12, C17, C22 plus all absentee ballots) in accordance with Election Code
No. 17190.
