A RESOLUTION DETERMINING COMPENSATION AND
OTHER BENEFITS FOR THE CITY TREASURER,
CITY CLERK AND-.CITY ..MANAGE-R, AND. HEALTH
AND 'WELFARE 'BENEFIT~'FOR '?HE CIT¥'COUNCIL

BE IT-RESOLVED by the City Council of the' City of South San Francisco that-
1.O City Treasurer
a) Salary' Commencing with the pay period which includeS July l, 1981,
there shall be an increase of'eleven percent (ll%) in.the base
range of City Treasurer. The new range shall be 582.
b) Benefits' The City Treasurer shall be entitled to receive those
benefits (excluding salary adjustments) as set forth in
Resolution NOo 121-81, Approving and Authorizing Certain Salary
Adjustments, Benefits and Terms and Condition's of Employment

for Executive Management Employees.
.2.0 City Clerk
a) Salary' Commencing with the pay period which includes July l, 1981,
there shall be an increase of eleven percent (ll%) in the base
range of City Clerk. The new range-shall be 1054.
In lieu of the wage increase, the City Clerk may elect to have. the
.
City make the total employee contribution to. P.E.R.-S. and apply
the remaining percentage increase to base salary. If the City Clerk
so elects, he/she shall be compensated by the pay range which shall
reflect the City Payment of P.E.R.S. This election and the ability
to convert the City payment of P.E.R.S. back to the base range shall
be governed by the same terms, requirements, and conditions as are
applicable to Executive Management Employees in accordance with
Resolution No. 121-81, Approving and Authorizing Certain Salary
Adjustments, Benefits and Terms and Conditions of Employment
for Executive Management Employees.
. ~ b) Benefits- The City Clerk shall be entitled to rece~¥e those
benefits (excluding salary'adjustments) as set forth in Resolution
No. 121-81, Approving and Authorizing Certain Salary Adjustments,
Benefits and Terms and Conditions of Employment for Executive
Management.
3.0 City'Manager
a) Salar~v: Commencing with the pay period which includes July l, 1981,
there shall be an increase of five percent (5%) in the base range
of City Manager. The new range shall.be 2073. In addition the City
shall contribute an amount equal to two and three-tenths percent
(2.3%) of annual salary to-the Deferred Compensation Plan for this
fiscal year.
b) Benef_its- The City Manager shall be entitled to receive those
benefits (excluding sal~ary adjustments) as set forth in Resolution
No. 121-81, Approving and Authorizing Certain~Salary Adjustments,
Benefits and Terms'and Conditions of Employment for Executive .
Management Employees.
The City also agrees to continue to pay the City Manager's Public
Employee Retirement System normal contribution, but not to exceed
seven percent (7%) of regular salary. This payment by the City of
City Mana§er's P.E~R.S. normal contributions and the ability to
convert this payment shall be under the same terms and conditions

4.0 City' Council
-
The members of the City Council~ shall be entitled to th'e following
insurance benefits'
a) Health Insurance Plan
b) Dental Care Plan
c) Life Insurance, including accidental death and dismemberment
coverage, in the amount of Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000)
d) Vision Care Plan
e) Retirement (Public Employee Retirement System)
f) Physical Fitness.Program
g) Annual Physical Examination
5.0 This Resolution cancels and supercedes Resolution No. 110-80, adopted
September 10~ 1980, and Resolution NOo 139-80, adopted December 8, 1980.
