CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION TO PARTICIPATE IN THE FIRE SERVICE
PERSONNEL CERTIFICATION PROGRAM OFFERED BY THE
CALIFORNIA STATE~BOARD'OF FIRE SERVICES
WHEREAS, the City of South San Francisco desires to participate in the
Fire Personnel Certification Program offered by the California State Board of Fire
Services, Office of State Fire Marshal; and
WHEREAS, the City of South San Francisco desires its fire department to be
identified as a "Participating Department" under guidelines adopted by the State
Board of Fire Services, Office of State Fire Marshal;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of South
San Francisco hereby elects to participate in the Fire Service Personnel Certifi-
cation Program offered by the California State Board of Fire Services, Office of
State Fi re Marshal; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all fire fighters employed by the City of South
San Francisco, after the effective date of this resolution, shall attain Fire
Fighter I certification under said program within one (1) year of the date of
initial employment.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and
adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular
me'et.in§ held on ~he 17thday of March , 1982, by the following vote'
