CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION COMMENDING
~THEODORE'ROBERT SILVAS
WHEREAS, Ted Silvas, has dedicated twenty-nine years to the law enforce-
ment program in the City of South San Francisco and effectively contributed to
that pro.~ram as a Police Officer, Detective-Juvenile Division and Lieutenant; and
WHEREAS, during his six year tenure~as~.a Detective, he was a member 6f
the California Juvenile Officers Association and did an outstanding job in his
work with the juveniles; and
WHEREAS, Ted Silvas while a lieutenant for nine years, s'erved as Commander
of the Traffic Division, Investigation Division and Patrol Division; and
WHEREAS, he is a member of the South San Francisco Police Association,
Peace Officers Research Association of California and the Peninsula Peace Officers
Association; and
WHEREAS, he raised his family in the city he helped to protect over his
twenty-nine years of service; and
WHEREAS, his dedication to justice, fairness and his high morals are in
the highest tradition of law enforcement; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to express appreciation to Ted Silvas
for his contribution to the South San Francisco Police Department and the community
in general;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South
San Francisco that it does hereby express appreciation to Theodore Silvas for
his dedicated services to the City of South San Francisco and does order this
Resolution incorporated in the official records of the City as this Council's
expression and its wishes for his .long and happy retirement.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced
and adopted, by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular
meeting held on the 21st day of April , 1982, by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Ronald G. Acosta, Mark N. Addieqo, Emanuele N. Damonte,
Gus Nicolopulos; and Roberta Cerri Teglia
