A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF
AMENDMENT NO. I TO "AGREEMENT BETWEEN
CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO AND THE COUNTY
OF SAN MATEO..FOR PROVISION OF MANAGEMENT
SERVICES 'OF 'THE 'SOUTH SAN'FRANCISCO 'LIBRARY"

BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco
1. Execution of Agreement.
Execution of an .Agreement entitled "Amendment No, I to ".Agreement
between the City of South San Francisco and the County of San Mateo for provi-
sion of I,lanagement Services of the South San Francisco Library" between the
City of South San Francisco and the County of San Mateo is hereby authorized,
and a copy of said Agreement is attached hereto as Exhibit "A."
2. Signatures.
The City Manager is authorized to execute said Agreement on be-
half of the City, and the City Clerk attest to his signature thereto.
I hereby certify that the foregoi.ng Resolution was regularly intro-
duced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at
a regular meeting held on the 21st day of April , 1982, by
the fol 1 owi.ng vote:

AMENDMENT NO. I TO ,'~AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE
CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO AND THE COUNTY
OF SAN MATEO .FOR..PROVI. S ION OF MANAGEMENT
SERV ICES' OF 'THE' SOUTH' SAN' FRANC I SCO' I' IBRARY"
THIS AMENDMENT NO. 1, made.and entered into as of the' day of
, 1982, by and between the City of South San Francisco, a municipal
corporation (hereinafter "City") and the County of San Mateo, a political sub-
division.of the State of California (hereinafter "County"):
WITNESSETH
WHEREAS, the parties hereto have heretofore entered into an .agreement,
dated March 10, 1982, relating to the provision of management support for the
South San Francisco Library; and
.WHEREAS, representatives of the parties to said .agreement have reviewed
said agreement and have .agreed upon certain changes in the provisions thereof
which are to'be effective on the date first written aboVe; and
WHEREAS, the public convenience and necessity will be served thereby;
.... NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY AGREED THAT:
1. Paragraphs I and 6 of the ".Agreement Between the City of South San
Francisco and the County of San Mateo for Provision of Management Services of
the South San Francisco Library," which .agreement was entered into on March 10,
..
1981, are hereby amended to read as follows:
"1. Term of Agreement. County .agrees to furnish management
staff and consultant resources during the one-year period' commenc-
ing April 6, 1982 and ending April 5, 1983. The term of this
agreement may be extended for additional periods of time by mutual
written .agreement of the parties hereto; provided, further, that
any extension may be terminated only on the giving of 90 days written
notice by either party to the other party."

"6. "COmpensation for services. As a County employee, the
assigned Librarian shall be compensated at the rate of $2,386.80
,.
per month plus benefits adjusted, as appropriate, for any nego-
tiated salary cost of living increase(s), merit increase(s)
·
received duri.ng the 'life of the .Agreement, and/or cha. nge in the
cost of the benefit package provided by the County."
2. The changes provided herein shall be effective as of the. date
first written above.
3. The parties hereto herebY .agree that, except as provided herein,
all of the provisions of said agreement for management services, dated March 10,
1981, shall continue unchanged and shall remain in full force and effect.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties have executed this Amendment No. 1
to Agreement on the date first written above.
