HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 50-1982 RESOLUTION NO. 50-82 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION COMMENDING ALPHONSE A~. SEUBERT AND DEDICATING THE SOUTHERLY CREST OF SIGN HILL'AS "SEUBERT GROVE" WHEREAS, Alphonse A. Seubert, a resident of South San Francisco for nearly thirty-two years, has for ten years been a member of the Beautification Sub-Commi ttee of this City; and WHEREAS, he has devoted much time and effort to the enhancement of Sign Hill over the past twenty-two years; and WHEREAS, Alphonse Seubert has contributed greatly to this community through his participation in the Parent-Teacher Association, the South San Francisco Warrior's Booster Club, Cub Scouts of America, the Bicentennial Committee of this City and his active participation in St. Veronica's Parish; and WHEREAS, Alphonse Seubert has served as Secretary to the Public Facility Corporation of this City; and WHEREAS, Alphonse Seubert was named South San Francisco's Outstanding Citizen of the year in 1973; and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to express appreciation to Alphonse Seubert for his services to this community; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that it does hereby express appreciation to Alphonse Seubert for his contribution to the City's progress and welfare through his deep commitment to the community and unstinting efforts to beautify Sign Hill by which he established a high standard of civic conduct worthy of emulation by those who desire to contribute to the welfare of this community, and upon the recommend- ation of the Parks & Recreation Commission, officially dedicates the southerly crest of Sign Hill as "SEUBERT GROVE." I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly intro- duced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at an adjourned regular meeting held on the~'6th day of' May ,~'1982, by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers Ronald'G. Acosta, Mark N. Addiego~Emanuele N. Damonte, Gus Nicolopulos; and Roberta Cerri Teglia NOES: None ABSENT: ' 'None
