CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AMENDMENT
NO. 1 TO THE AGREEMENT FOR PROFESSIONAL ENGINEER-
ING SERVICES IN CONNECTION WITH THE SLUDGE
DEWATERING FACILITIES FOR THE CITIES OF SOUTH
SAN FRANCISCO AND SAN 'BRUNO
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco
1. Execution of Amendment.
Execution of Amendment No. 1 to Agreement for Professional Engineer-
ing Services in Connection with the Sludge Dewatering Facilities for the Cities
of South San Francisco and San Bruno, a copy of which is attached hereto as
Exhibit "A," is hereby authorized.
2. Signature.
The Director of Public Services is authorized to execute said Amend-
ment on behalf of the City, and the City Clerk attest his signature thereto.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced
and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular
meeting held on the 19thday of May , 1982, by 'the following
vote-

"" AMENDMENT NO. 1
e following is an amendment to the Agreement dated August 6, 1981,
between the CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA.and GEORGE S. NOLTE
AND ASSOCIATES.
The Agreement shall be amended by deleting Articles 9b and 9c
related to "termination of agreement" and replacing these sections with
the following:
"b. Value of subcontracts will be the cost for subcontract work
incurred by Consulting Engineer to the date of termination
plus a negotiated mark-up.
"c. Value of profit will be determined based on expenditure
of Consulting Engineer's total estimated direct labor
at the time of termination."
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the City of South San Francisco, State of
California as authorized by the City Council at its meeting held on
May 19, 1982 has caused its corporate name to be affixed hereto
by the Director of Public Services and City Clerk of said City, and
the Consulting Engineer have hereto set their hands and corporate
name the 21st day of May , 1982.
