CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING AND APPROVING AMENDMENTS
TO THE MEMORANDA OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE
CITY OF SOUT'H SAN FRANCISCO AND UN ITS 1, 2, 4,
6 and 8.
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco
that the Amendments to the Memoranda of Understanding 'for the following
bargaining units-
Unit #1 (Exhibit "A") - Management Employees
Unit #2 (Exhibit "B") - Communications Dispatchers, AFSCME, 1569
Unit #4 (Exhibit "C") - Water Quality Control Plant Employees,
Stationary Engineers 39
U~it #6 (Exhibit "D")- l'nternational Association of Firefigh'~ers, 1507
Unit #8 (Exhibit "E") - Confidential Employees
Copies of which are attached hereto as Exhibits "A" through "E" and are
incorporated herein by this reference as if set forth verbatim, are hereby
accepted and approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be and is hereby authorized
to endorse on said Amendments to the Memoranda of Understanding the following:
"Approved by City Council Resolution No. 59-82 adopted June ]6,
1982"
I hereby certify that tile foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced
and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular

A~ND~NT TO MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING
BE~qEEN THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO
AND UNIT #1 - MANAGEMENT EMPLOYEES
The City of South San FranciSco (hereinafer, City) and Unit #1,
~lanagement Employees, (hereinafer, Unit #1), hereby agree to amend ParagrAph
#1, Term of the Memorandum of Understanding' (hereinafter, Agreement), covering
the period of July 1, 1981, to June 50, 1982, to provide .that all terms and
conditions of the Agreement and amendments thereto shall remain in full force
·
and effect through and including October 29, 1982, in' order tO allow for the
negotiations of a successor Agreement in September and October o'f 1982.
The City and Unit #1 further agree that the subject of the effective date
of any salary changes shall be subject to the negotiations of the successor
Agreement and that such salary changes, may take effect as early as July 1, 1982.
Except as herein amended, and as amended on January 1Sth, 1982, the terms
and conditions of the July 1, 1981, to June 50, 1982, Memorandum-of Understsnding
for Unit #1, and amendments thereto are hereby reaffirmed and shall remain in
full force and effect.

REPRESENTED BY AFSCME, LOCAL ~569, AFL-CIO
The City of South San Francisco (hereinafter, City) and Unit #2,
Communications Dispatchers, Represented by AFSCME, Local 1569 (hereinafter,
Unit #2), hereby agree to amend Paragraph 1, Term of the Memorandum of
(hereinafter, Agreement), covering the period of July 1, 1979, to June 30,
1982, to p. rovide that all terms and conditions of the Agreement shall
remain in full fOrce and effect, through and including October 29, 1982, in '
order to al Iow for the negotiations of a successor Agreement in September
and October of 1982.
The City and Unit #2 further agree that the subject of the effective
date of any Salary changes shall be subject to the negotiations 'of the
successor Agreement and that such salary changes may take effect as early as
July !, 1982.
Except as herein amended, the terms and conditions of the July 1, 1979,
t° June 30, 1982, Memorandum of Understanding for Unit I~2 are hereby re-
affirmed and shall remain in full force and effect.

AMENDMENT TO MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE
CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO AND UNIT #4 - SOUTH SAN
FRANCISCO WATER QUALITY CONTROL PLANT EMPLOYEES, RE-
PRESENTED BY INTERNATIONAL UNION OF OPERATING ENGINEERS
STATIONARY ENGINEERS LOCAL UNION NO. 39, AFL-CIO.
The City' of South San Francisco (hereinafter, City) and Unit #4, South
San Francisco Water Quality Control Pi ant Employees, Represented by International
Union of Operating Engineers, Stationary EngineerS Local Union"No.'39, AFL-CIO
(hereinafter, Unit #4), hereby agree to amend Paragraph 25. Term of the Memo-
randum of Un~terstadding (hereinafter, Agreement) to provide that all Terms and
Conditions of the Agreement shall remain in full force and effect through ~nd
including October 29, 1982, in order to al low for the negotiations of a successor
Agreement in September and October of 1982,
The City and Unit #4 further agree that the subject of the effective date.

AMENDMENT TO MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING ~
BETWEEN THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO
AND UNIT #6 - INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION
OF FIREFIGHTERS,'LOCAL 1507,'AFL'CIO'~

The City of South San Francisco (hereinafter, City) and Unit #6, IAFF,
of America, Local 1507 (hereinafter, Unit 6), hereby agree that paragraph
one (1), Term of the Memorandum of Understanding for the period July 1, 1981 -
June 30, 1982 (Agreement), is hereby amended to provide that all terms and

conditions of the Agreement shall remain in full force and effect unti'~l the
negotiations of a successor .Agreement are completed. Said negotiations shall
take place in September-and October of 1982.
The City and Unit #6 further .agree that the subject of the effective date
of any paragraphs, sections, subsection's or provisions shall be subject to
the negotiations of the successor Agreement and may take effect .as early as
July 1, 1982.
This Amendment shall be subject to the same terms and conditions of the
July 1, 1981 to June 30, 1982 Memorandum of Understanding for Unit #6 except
as herein amended.
In wi'tness whereof, the City and Unit #6 hereto have executed this Amendment
to the Memorandum of Understanding in the City of South San Francisco thcs 9th

The City of South San Francisco (hereinafter, City) and Unit #8,
Confidential Employees, (hereinafter' Unit #8), hereby agree to amend
Paragraph #1, Term of the Memorandum of Understanding (hereinafter,
Agreement), for the period of July 1, 1981, to June 30, 1982, to provide
that all terms and condi'tions of the Memorandum of Understanding shall
remain in fu'll force and effect through and including October 29, 1982,'
in order to al Iow for the negotiations of a successor Agreement in
September and October of 1982.
The City and Unit #8 further agree that the subject of the 'effective

date of any salary changes Shall be subject to the negotiations of the
successor Agreement' and that such salary changes may take effect as early
