CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION APPROVING GENERAL PLAN
AMENDMENT GPA-82-18 PURSUANT TO
PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO.
2311 - ADOPTED THE 10th
DAY OF JUNE, 1982
WHEREAS, the proposed amendment (GPA-82-18) to the City's General Plan
is set forth in Resolution No. 2311 of the Planning Commission entitled
"A Resolution of the South San Francisco Planning Commission recommending that
the City Council delete the North Spruce Avenue Connection. t,o. the Hillside.
Blvd. Extension from the Circulation Element of the General Plan (GPA-82-18)
and approve Negative Declaration No. 360."
attached hereto as Exhibit A, and
WHEREAS, on the lOth day of June , 1982 , by Resolution
No. 2311 the Planning Commission of the City of South San Francisco approved
and· recommended same to the Council, as set forth in Exhibit A attached hereto,
and
WHEREAS, the Council, pursuant to the Government Code of the'State of
California, duly set a hearing thereon for the 7th ~day of July ,
1982 , notice of which was published in the "Enterprise-Journal," a newspaper
·
of general circulation printed and circulated in the City of South San Francisco,
and which date of publication was more than ten (10) days prior to the date set
for said hearing, and the affidavit of said publication is on file in the
office of the City Clerk, and
WHEREAS, the Council did hold said hearing on said date and did there-
upon consider said amendment and the statements and communications made at
said hearing;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED THAT:
1. The Council hereby adopts as an amendment to the City's General
Plan the amendment recommended by the Planning Commission in ReSolution No.
~ 2311 , designated GPA-82-18 , as set forth in Exhibit A1
attached hereto, thereby deletin.o the North Spruce Avenue Connection to the
Hillside Blvd. Extension from the Circulation E)ement ot the General Plan
(GPA-82-18) and ~pproving Negative Declaration No, 360.
2. The said amendment be endorsed as adopted by this Resolution and the
Mayor and City Clerk shall execute said endorsement.

wHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing on June 10, 1982 to
consider General Plsn Amendment GPA-82-18; rand
~11EREAS,.a Negative Declaration was prepared for this amendment; and
%~EAS, .t.~e, fOllowing findings were made:
1. That the proposed connection is not needed for the proper circulation
patterns of the coumunity in general and the Paradise Valley, Hillside
Terrace, Peck's Lots and proposed South Slope of Stun Bruno Mountain
developments in p~rticul~r.

That the deleted connection would discourage through-traffic in the
adjacent Single-family subdivisions.
3. That the proposed deletion mould reduce certain environmental effects
including grading, noise and traffic hazards.
NOW, ~ORE,. BE IT RESOLVED by the South San Francisco Planning Commission
