HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 103-1982 RESOLUTION NO. 103-82 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION COMMENDING LAURETTA HUSSAR WHEREAS, Lauretta Hussar, has dedicated forty-two (42) years to the Grand Avenue Library in the City of South San Francisco, during which period she faithfully served the City; and WHEREAS, Lauretta Hussar was first engaged by the City of South San Francisco for training as a Librarian on January 8, 1940 at fifty cents an hour; and WHEREAS, on March 1, 1940, Lauretta Hussar was made a full time Assistant Librarian for a monthly salary of sixty dollars; and WHEREAS, faithful and capable employees enable municipal and other govern- mental agencies to serve the public well; and WHEREAS, Lauretta Hussar was appointed on September 12, 1942 as the Acting Head Librarian, upon retirement of the previous Head. Librarian; and WHEREAS, Lauretta Hussar was appoi'nted April 5, 1943 as the Head Librarian and served in this position with the utmost dedication until her 'retirement on Augusi~ 7, 1982; and WHEREAS, Lauretta Hussar has also served as the Secretary to the Library Board for many years~ and WHEREAS, the City of South San Francisco, a municipal corporation, has been fortunate in having the capable services of Laurel~ta Hussar; and WHEREAS, Lauretta Hussar has dedicated her talents to the Grand Avenue Library and its patrons in her love of the City of South San Francisco, its people and its history through her research and reference duties; and WHEREAS, her devotion to duty and the quality of her services have been of great benefit to the City and its residents, and because of this the City Council desires to commend and express appreciation to her; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that it doeS hereby express appreciation to Lauretta Hussar for her dedicated services to the City of South San Francisco and does order this Resolution incorporated in the official records of the City as this Council's expression and its wishes for her long and happy retirement. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resol.ution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 18th day of August 1982, by the following vote' AYES' Councilmembers Ronald G.
