HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 110-1982RESOLUTION NO. 110-82 A RESOLUTION PETITIONING THE GOVERNOR TO VETO ASSEMBLY BILL 2909 (Thurman) WHEREAS, AB 2909 was amended in the closing days of the Legislative Session without adequate public notice and discussion, and WHEREAS, that amendment would restrict cities' legal rights to such judicial remedies as they may relate to airport noise problems, and WHEREAS, to ensure continued good faith relations in negotiations between the San Francisco International Airport and adjacent cities, neither party's legal rights should be impaired, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Governor Edmund G. Brown, Jr. is respectfully urged to veto Assembly Bill 2909. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at an adjourned meeting held on the 8th day of September , 19 82 , by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers Ronald G. Acosta, Mark N. Addiego, Emanuele N. Damonte, NOES: ABSENT: Gus Nicolopulos; and Roberta Cerri Teglia None None
